Straight answers
What does a roof replacement cost in Maine?
It is set by roof size, pitch, how many layers come off, whether the decking is sound, and the material you pick — not by a flat rate. Architectural shingle is the common choice here; standing seam metal costs more and lasts roughly twice as long. We look at the roof, then give you a written scope and a firm price, free.
How fast can you get to a leaking roof?
Leaks jump the queue. We aim to be on the roof within the same week, sooner after a storm that hit the region hard. Call or text and say it is a leak. If water is coming into the house right now, we will tell you what to do before we arrive.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes — on site, with a written scope and a firm price, no obligation. If your roof has years left in it we will tell you that instead of selling you a replacement, and if a repair will hold it we will say so and tell you roughly how long to expect.
What areas do you cover?
Maine, Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire — statewide in Maine, statewide in Massachusetts including Boston and the Merrimack Valley, and the southern tier of New Hampshire from the Massachusetts line north. If you are just outside those areas, call anyway. We travel for the right job and the worst answer is that we are too far.
Do you put the price in writing before work starts?
Always. Maine law requires it for any home construction contract over $3,000 in materials or labor, which is essentially every roof: written and signed by both parties, with the scope, the price and the dates in it. You will have the numbers in hand before you pay a materials deposit.
